Improving Empty Properties


Owners of empty property can get advice or financial assistance where their empty property is in need of improvement, repair or conversion.

 

Advice will include:

  • Identification of essential repairs and improvement so that the standard of the property complies with the Health and Hazard Safety rating scheme.
  • In some cases it will be possible for the local authority to either supply a schedule or provide funding for feasibility funding.
  • In addition, financial assistance may be available in the form of grants or low-cost loans from the local authority to help fund repairs or improvement.
