Find empty properties

1. Can I obtain a list of empty properties in the area?
   
   No Use Empty (West) local authorities all have a policy where they donot disclose information or lists of empty properties due to the Data Protection Act. But, requests can be made in writing to the Empty Homes Officer citing the Freedom of Information Act 2000 if they wish to receive a formal response to this request.
   
   We do however want to assist owners of empty properties who wish to sell, by putting them in contact with developers or individuals who are interested in purchasing these properties. No Use Empty (West) has therefore compiled a list of developers or interested purchasers that we can send to owners who wish to sell their empty property.

2. How can I find an empty property?
   
   

   • Look at the Buying and Selling page which aims to put buyers in touch with empty property owners
   • Contact Estate Agents. They may have some empty properties, but will not usually promote these so well.
   • Auction Houses are often a good place to find empty properties.
   • Keep a look out - many empty properties are noticeable when passing.
